Let's clarify right away that we are talking about Rino's nose piercing, and not about the intimate piercing of the “rhinoceros horn”, one of the varieties of male “dignity” jewelry.

Rhinoceros piercing can be called the leader of camouflage body modifications. He is so freaky that he draws all the attention to himself. People will not remember what kind of eyes you have and whether you had any at all, whether you are bald or with long hair. The only thing that remains in memory is the fact that you have a nose and it has a very unusual piercing. So Rino can be safely called the "invisibility hat" of constant wear.

The first and last thing that tourists remember when they meet a rhinoceros in person is its horn. Due to the similarity of one of the types of vertical puncture of the tip of the nose with a rhinoceros horn, they began to call it that. Over time, the popular name became official.

How to become a rhinoceros: the principles of the procedure

There are two approaches to becoming Rhino: easy and hard. Let's start with something simpler:

• the usual vertical, double puncture of the tip of the nose is made. The needle passes through the soft tissues of the pimpochka from the bottom up;
• an ornament in the form of a curved rod (barbela) of small length is inserted. Suitable micro-bananas of a certain design;
• as a result, one wrap is on the nose, the other under it.

To achieve a greater resemblance to rhino, the decorative ball is replaced by a wedge-shaped or cone-shaped hat. The hard way takes time and perseverance. But it significantly expands the choice of the “horn” configuration and the location of the wraps.

• we make a septum, that is, we pierce the nasal septum;
• stretch the hole and wait for complete healing;
• we carry out a puncture through the stretched hole.

As a result, the lower part of the earring will be under the nose in any desired place, and the upper part can protrude much closer to the bridge of the nose. But the horn will turn out to be noble, like that of an adult, seasoned rhino. Only a rod is suitable here, depending on the configuration of the channel, straight or curved.

Healing duration

Light type Rhino piercing heals quickly enough, like any nose piercing. On average, one to three months. The complicated method not only requires lengthy preparation, but also healing can last up to eight months. But in the end, a specific “rhinoceros” will crystallize.

Note: for a simplified approach, a fairly fleshy tip of the nose is needed, otherwise the earring will sag or the master will not be able to carry out the procedure at all.
